Our lab is committed to fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment where every lab member can feel engaged and empowered to reach their full potential. We place value in everyone’s unique perspectives, shaped by their own experiences, identity, and background. We look for factors that positively impact each trainee’s success, seek to help one another overcome obstacles, with the ultimate goal of having every lab member growing into a better scientist.

We understand that systemic inequities and biases have created disparities across science and engineering. As a team, we will work together to challenge these inequities by creating a diverse and inclusive lab environment, fostering open and comfortable discussions regularly, and educating ourselves on inequities across science and engineering through reflections and community linkages.
