  • The Hao Lab teaching philosophy is based on two core principles: Imparting students with problem-solving skills and igniting excitement which leads to life-long curiosity and learning.

  • Building robust mentor-mentee relationships is key to individual and team-wide development. The Hao lab aspires to build an infrastructure that nurtures growth, collaboration and intellectual rigor.

  • The Hao lab encourages its trainees to build on our community’s strong legacy of service and outreach by participating in public science fairs, Society of Women Engineers initiatives, and contributing to the STEM equity and inclusion movement.
